By calling it the baddest card on the planet he is immediately putting down every other card out, hence he is welcoming fanboys to come in and flame the hellsinki outta this thread.

Not to mention the fact that he could've just did a search and found one of the other billion threads about anybody actually having one of the new cards and posted there....

A+++ THREAD WILL READ AGAIN!!!

sgtZulu, I have the opinion that you sometimes are overly aggressive in trashing a thread, but here, that was totally warranted. It was also hilarious.

Yeah, he's putting down every other graphics card on the planet! We can't stand for that! Evoillusion, tell me where you live and I'm going to challenge you to a fight! Nobody bashes my graphics card and gets away with it!

In terms of raw speed the X800 XT PE is BETTER than the 6800U in most benchmarks especially knewer games. Check Anandtech's article for proof. But the 6800U is still great none the less.

A man without pride. He wasn't putting down every other card, he was (I assume) overjoyed that he received his card. Seriously guys, turn off the computer for a few hours and go outside, why so defensive over such a non-issue.

The 6800U may be on par and a little above the X800XT, but it is definately not losing in very many tests. Also you forget that the Ultra Extreme hasn't come out yet whcih is higher clocked. Also the new drivers haven't come yet which could potentially bring at most a 30% boost. I think ATI and Nvidia have come out with good cards but for the raw power, speed, and for the hardcore entusiast/gamer Nvidia has won the crown back. (puts on flame suit and braces himself)

But ATi has once again provided a very efficient solution. Yes, it is using an old architecture, and has no new features, but nonetheless it is still very fast. It also uses less power than the Nvidia chip.

Pound for pound Nvidia has won the highend segment, (lol as soon as the mass produce these things). But the lowend segment is a flame war waiting to happen ;) .

I do belive that the 6800 is on par in most of the tests, and in some it wins. But overall, ATI wins in more tests, especially DX9 (Far Cry). Thats all I am saying. Both ATI and nVidia came out with great products, but I will most likely go ATI as I plan to play HL2 and CS2 in the near future. But that is just me.

Ok, I'm over-reacting...

I've got no pride...

I'm too sensitive...

Oh no, whatever shall I do?

I was just saying, because if you look at how many other posts have turned into fanboy wars, that basically welcoming a thread for it isn't such a good idea. If he or she claims something to be the best, then yes he is putting down the opposing card, and that will harm the pride of nVidia fanboys who will come in here screaming bloody murder. I'm not an nVidia fanboy, therefore I'm not saying that this isn't the "baddest card on the planet". You'll notice this by the fact that I did not claim any other card was better.

Just a question. How does pride come into play in this?

Since he is a new forum member I guess I could have been a little more lenient of not searching, I'll admit that much.

Still doesn't change the fact that what Zulu said was funny.

I plan to wait for both cards to become available in masses before I make my decision. If nothing else it will allow the time needed for mature drivers.
