OK, OK - yes I know that the VE has a crippled core and that the LE will blow it away. Well, the thing is that I want it for the dual-head support. My question is this: How will it compare to my current V3 2000? I use my computer mostly for coding and internet surfing. So how is the 2D for the VE? I occassionally play some light RPG and RTS games on it too. I'm looking for some honest help here. Please no "screw the VE and get an LE" replies. Just wondering if I should spend my money on the VE or on an older Matrox dual-head card.

i cant say on the g400 but after try'n both the g450 32 ddr and the radeon ve 32 ddr i chose the radeon. it's hard to say which is really the better card but for the software i chose the ati. btw running win2k
