Radeon Screen Re-size

I just installed my radeon and it started up fine. My screen res is at 800/600. But when i open a window (like IE or just about anything else) the whole screen resizes, like the out side edges shrinks like 2mm. And then when i close the window the screen goes back to its original state. I know its not that big of problem but i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it.

you have the right drivers installed? Make sure you don't have the refresh rate too high. And up your resolution. Why are you using 800x600. Unless your monitor is 13" or 14" go with a higher resolution.
