Who is running the newest drivers(version 4.13.7072 beta) with DirectX 8? Are you happy with the results? Any conflicts?

Those aren't the latest beta drivers, and what problems are you having?

No problems to speak of. Just saw these at ati's website. They referred to them as beta. From what I read, these include support for directx 8. What are the latest drivers and what improvements do they offer?

Oh, so you don't have any problems? Isn't that good?! =) You can find newer, "leaked" drivers at Rage3d.

Let me rephrase. No problems now. I did have a problem with 3dmark 2001. It seems to be a fairly common one. Error messages about not enough video memory. It is affecting some radeon owners. Both the 32mb ddr boards and the 64 ddr boards.

Why are there so many beta driver versions? Seems ridiculous to have 4 or 5 different versions with only one finalized version?

It's because the drivers have to pass certain tests to pass as official drivers, so before a set is deemed worthy, they keep working on newer drivers and they get leaked out for others to use.

I was in Win98 running 7089 drivers and didn't get you guys' problem with not enough memory, sorry.

there is a page with a fix for that memory problem at microsoft's site. Some thing about a page file or something.
