Radeon Owners - Advice Please

Have just booted up with my new Radeon after a clean install of Windows ME. Which is best - install using the CD provided by ATI or let Windows search for a driver? The last time I installed an ATI card Xpert 2000), the
ATI CD loaded a BUNCH of stuff. I also downloaded the newest Radeon drivers Friday night off the WEB - would it be better to use those? Right now my install is super clean and I want to load the ultimate without excess garbage. Thanks for any assistance !!

The CD will give you an option to install just the drivers, then you can install the downloaded drivers,thats what i did ......

I was using the 3044 radeon drivers that came with the cd and 3d mark gave me a mark of 3400, after going to the 3056 and then to 3063 I went to 3504 on 3d mark.
