Well, to flash it, is like 100% illegal if you really want to know :)

To flash it, you need the Radeon DDR rom *if you have a friend with a radeon, tell him to dump his ROM onto a disk* then use the radeon flashing thingy, and flash it just as you would flash your motherboard's CMOS.

I would recommend JUST overclocking, and disabling HyperZ though. That way you're not breaking the law by owning the Radeon DDR ROM, you're just making your warranty invalid :)

I had my Radeon LE flashed w/ radeon ddr 32mb bios, and o/c'ed to 187/187. Use a program such as Raid-On tweaker. It's the best one, and use Humus Recommendations to get the best performance.

Hope this helps!

I figure if you pay for it you should be able to do whatever you want with it,even cutting it into little peices.the second option i dont recommend.;)

Enable HyperZ, because it's one of the most important reasons this card is good. However, you can do that, along with overclocking, with the software tweaker alone. There is no need to flash the card, esp. since if you flash the card you still need the software tweaker to overclock it to higher speeds. That said, I did it anyway. :p

That's what I've always said. Overclock it, flash it, use it as a door stop. Whatever floats your boat.

Check out the Anandtech article on this card. Everything you need to know. You don't really need to flash the BIOS - just use the tweaker and have it set on startup.

Well, it is legal to flash it, but not legal to flash it with a bios that you don't own. Yes, you can do whatever you want with the card, but that would be like "pirating" a bios. I think that's what DonNiggera was trying to get at. Just like if you buy a computer, that computer is yours and you can do whatever you want with it. But If you install a copy of Windows 2000 that you didn't pay for, that would be considered illegal.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for correcting me.
