I just replaced my Hercules 4500 with a shiny new GF3, but while I had it (6 months) it ran fine. Never had a problem running in either Win98 or 2k.

If I'm honest the drivers aren't as good as Nvidia drivers but they are pretty stable and fast. I've never had any problems with them and when I have had a problem it's always been fixed in the next driver release which is usually monthly.

For it's price the 4500 is a good video card but I'd wait for the release of the 4800 which is based on the Kyro 2 SE chip and offers better performance and it will probably be almost as cheap as the older 4500.

It really depends
If you have a slower processor, go with the Radeon LE
If you have a fast processor, go with the 4500 since it will benefit from your faster cpu.
IMO if you have under a 900MHz processor, don't buy the Kyro

I have the Radeon LE... Its pretty Okay, not really works at 4X, ATI barely has support for it except the drivers that come in the OEM box. Hyper Z is disabled, but is enabled through a software program, I forgot the name because I'm not on the Radeon Machine now, but It is overclockable with the same software, but not so stable without ample cooling. So it depends, I personally want to get the Kyro 2 SE Hercules 4800 series once it gets out for a P3 1GHz.
