Radeon LE & Geforce 3 ti200 Image quality

How much better is the image/video quality of the radeon 8500le vs the gf3 ti 200???

3D image quality is debateable between the two, it's very close. Personally I find either card could have the slight advantage depending upon the individual application.

DVD image quality difference is slight, but noticeable in ATi's favor.

2D image quality varies dramatically between manufacturers of nVidia boards, so it's hard to say but ATi is IMHO very slightly better then the best of nVidia board manufacturers in 2D and considerably better then some of the lower tier manufacturers.

For 3D the GF3 is the best.
For DVD the Radeon edges the GF3.
For 2D image quality the Radeon will always be good while the GF3 may vary (although it's certainly possible to get a GF3 that has 2d image quality as good as a Radeon).

don't forget that a '3d' image is shown on a '2d' screen, making ATI better in that regard..

I'd say, noticable but not revolutionary in ur case. But the speed boost from the 8500 would be nice.
