The new 128MB has a slightly higher price than the 64 MB one. But the old ones has dual monitor support, DVI connector and software bundle ( counter-strike ). The 64 MB still outperforms the 128 in some games.
Any suggestion which one I should buy ?
thanks
I say go for 128meg that's what I did. I know I'm not going to use DVI and it only costs $31 more for the retail radeon LE that's clocked at 275mhz and it also uses 3.3ns BGA chips instead 3.6ns like retail 64meg 8500. You can easily clock this above 320mhz without a hitch and it does actually improve performance above 1024x768 for having 128megs.
I just ordered one myself yesterday. If you can wait then get the geforce 4 4200 in couple of weeks.
Go read Hardocp review and it shows better performance than 64meg radeon8500.
Whatever you do don't buy from newegg. Their retails our priced at $230 and OEM is much cheaper but they are clocked at 250/200 and don't use BGA chips.
In the case of ATi I'd probably have to pick the slower 128 MB card over the faster 64 MB card because there are times when the 64 MB card is really hammered, mainly because of driver problems.
