How would the ASUS EAH6670/DIS/1GD5 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 1GHz GDDR5 graphics card (see http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004X8EODY...4&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=ss_til&asins=B004X8EODY)) compare to a AMD Radeon HD 7570 1GB DDR3 graphics card with HDMI, DVI, and VGA (via adapter)?

[ For more info on the ASUS Radeon 6670, also check out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121442 or http://usa.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6670DIS1GD5/#specifications ]

I bought an HP HPE H8xt desktop PC for my kids that came with the Radeon HD 7570, but I had already bought the Asus Radeon HD 6670 card from that Amazon link above because HP was previously including a cheaper card and I got the Asus 6670 for $70 after rebate. But now that HP changed the included graphics card to a Radeon HD 7570, I'm not sure if that would be better than the Asus Radeon 6670 card I bought or not. I can easily return the card to Amazon if the Radeon 7570 HP included is better. Or I could probably sell the 7570 on eBay if the 6670 is better.

To be clear, I have not received the system yet nor do I have the time to be benchmarking the cards. Therefore, ideally, I need to get feedback and just make a decision.

Opinions? Feedback?

Thank you in advance for everyone's time and help.

UPDATE:

Here is a link to AMD about the Radeon 7570 card: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/7000/7570/Pages/radeon-7570.aspx

Notice the following that AMD lists for the 7570 and keep in mind that HP lists the card included in my system as a 1GB DDR3 card...

-- 650 MHz engine clock
-- 512MB-2GB DDR3 or 512MB-1GB GDDR5 memory
-- 900 MHz (DDR3) or 1000 MHz (GDDR5) memory clock (1.8 Gbps DDR3 or 4.0 Gbps GDDR5)
-- 28.8 GB/s (DDR3) or 64 GB/s (GDDR5) memory bandwidth

I would think based on the 650 MHz engine clock and DDR3 memory compared to the 810 MHz engine clock and GDDR5 memory the ASUS card has that the ASUS would be a bit better overall, but I'm not sure how much. ???

The 7570 isn't evne out yet?
Maybe as OEM only.

Regardless without knowing specs of your card, we already know 7500 is a turks based GPU like the 6500/6600 - series, and being yours is the "bigger brother" x6xx to x5xx the 6670 will be faster.

Not by much, they should be fairly identical 40nm turks GPU's, 7570 just has a slower clock and perhaps worse memory(x5xx cards come with both GDDR3 & GDDR5 ramblocks, so check what yours has).

Performance increase from a turks 600 mhz to 800mhz gpu tho... i'll pass on geussing.
But ill wager not much.

Id bench it fast, if i could and decide.
But most likely you wont see much difference +/- 5-8% - so i'd return it.

Any 7xxx below 7750 are just a rebrands for OEMs.

So 7570 = 6570 (Turks Pro), so it's just a matter of finding benches of 6570 DDR3 vs 6670 DDR5.
Using the somewhat simplistic VoodooPower Rating (http://alienbabeltech.com/abt/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=21797&start=250) we get this:
Radeon HD 6670 1GB (DX11) 48
Radeon HD 6570 1GB (DDR3) (DX11) 34

So the 6670 is about 40% faster. The DDR5 vs DDR3 bit is the most important really because the DDR5 6570 is rated at about 42 (same as the 8800GT incidentally).

Thank you MisterMac and KompuKare for the feedback. I update the original post with new information, especially the link I found to AMD's official info on the 7570. That information supports what both of you are saying, especially you KompuKare. It would seem that the 6670 would definitely be a bit faster/better overall, if not quite a bit faster/better.

You're welcome but remember these benchmarks are only estimates since your CPU, RAM etc. will play a part. And then there's the question of what did they run to get their results. Consider these two (both in German since performance scaling seems to be a popular way to bench over there - but you just have to look at the charts):

http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/grafikkarten/2011/test-amd-radeon-hd-6570/3/#abschnitt_leistung
http://ht4u.net/reviews/2011/amd_radeon_hd_6570_hd_6670_turks_im_test/index30.php

The first is only 9% which is little. The 2nd has two for the 6570, one DDR3 and the other DDR5, and there's 33% between them.

Like said, max 10% in actual performance probably less(synthetics work for no bottlebecks anywhere in a system kind of comparisons).

Depends if that's worth futureproofing for 70 bucks for you.

If you look at the pipeline for tech advancement for the games your kids play - we're going to eventually see a massive jump both in "webbased rendering" and "cheap engines" for "kids/educational" games so to speak.

And neither of those card will most likely deal with this better or worse than the other.
You should however figure out if your 7570 is a GDDR3 or GDDR5 card.
If it's ddr3 use the 6670 without a doubt - since the memory bandwidth helps quite a bit.

TL;DR:

The 6670 is better - if GDDR3 it's quite a bit better.
If GDDR5 - difference is....let's say... "Decent".

Worth 70 bucks to ya?
