Radeon 4000's

Looks odd. Only 10w - 25w idle? If thats true AMD is doing wonders for power consumption. Good things indeed.

I didn't see this posted anywhere so let me know if this is a repost.

4670 is more power hungry than 9600GT if this spec is true. Also, if this is also true, they dont have anything to compete at $200

Wish I knew more about their release dates though, they just say 2Q 08. I want to upgrade my video card, darn it. 2nd quarter is from 1 Jan to 31 Mar, give or take a week or so. If its that close, then I'm going to hold off, but I doubt the entire line up will launch simultaneously.

480 shaders. ::::sigh:::: I was hoping they'd change their shaders to be more efficient, not just add another 50% of them. But maybe they did a little of both hopefully.

Wishful thinking...

2Q is 1 Jan - 31 Mar fiscal quarter. AMD will will most likely be releasing the 4000's in 2Q standard quarter, which is April 1 - June 31.

Usually, the press goes by standard quarters when talking about release dates (which is the case here). CEO/CFO's and financial analysts refer to release dates in fiscal quarters, usually when giving guidance during earnings calls.
