Radeon HD 3850 vs. HD Radeon 4830?

What is the principle difference between these cards? I have been unable to find anything ont he next easily. The 4830 are about $15 more than the 3850's.

I am not a heavy gamer, only games I would play would be Eve Online, and perhaps ARCA Sim Racing, maybe a few other that I can live without the highest settings.
 
The difference is 640 ati shaders on 4830 vs 320 ati shaders on 3850, though performance isn't going to be double, 4830 has more power 🙂
 
For 15$ extra it's really not a choice between the two even if you don't play much. As others have stated the 4830 can be overclocked to nearly the 4850 performance. You don't have a reason not to get it, unless you're trying for the lowest priced upgrade possible.
 
I'm very happy with my 4830 so far. It's ran every game I've thrown at it with ease at 1920x1200 with max settings
