Radeon HD 2900 Pro / HD 2900 GT

holy crap!!! Are we actually getting TWO (2) (dos) midrange cards now??? I'm interested in seeing how these stack up against 8800gts 320 and x1950xtx.

I know this may not be very high on the list for some people but... how loud is the HD 2900's fan? I've heard that the 8800 GTS has a pretty quiet fan. My X1650, however, has a loud fan. I sincerely do not want to buy any card that has a fan this loud.

I only used benchmarks for 1920x1200 resolution...Most games didnt use AA or AF because at this resolution...most times its not needed for IQ.

I disagree. Among other things AF is always needed since it addresses issues that high resolutions don't.

Pretty quiet at 31% (default), insane leaf blower above 85%

QFT. I've been gaming at 1920x1200 for about a year now and I have never not felt the need to apply at least 16x AF and as much AA as possible.

High resolution cannot replace AA nor can AA replace high resolution.
