Radeon drivers in XP better than 2000?

I have a copy of win 2000, but i dont have it installed because i have a radeon and its 2000 drivers suck. Does anybody know if radeon drivers will be better with XP? Im looking for windows 2000 stability with windows 98 performance, if possible.

Thanks

Since when do the Radeon drivers in Win2k suck? In 3DMark2001 I got a score of 31xx in Win2k and a score of 34xx in Win98SE running at 1024x768x32bit. IMHO a 300 point drop in performance doesn't mean the drivers suck

Edit: BTW, this is using the 3224 driver for Win2k

Well, the drivers in XP will probably be very similar if not the same as they are in Win2K. I am running XP now and have installed the Win2K Radeon drivers and they seem to work fine.

I have the Radeon VE dual head card. The Win 2000 drivers make the "one big desktop" problem. Matrox has a work around for it. Hope Radeon gets off it's ars soon. The problem is not work stopping, just irritating.
