Radeon Driver Disk***Found One***

I'm looking for a copy of the original driver disk that comes with a Radeon 64MB DDR. Mine is missing and my DVD drive won't operate properly without the stupid decoding software. Can anyone help? I'd be willing to pay for it.

Thanks to Taz🙂

If all you need is the DVD player, you can try WinDVD and PowerDVD. I know WinDVD supports the Radeon hardware acceleration, and PowerDVD 3.0 does too I believe.

I have Power DVD and it says that it doesn't support my card. I went to the ATI website and they state that only the ATI DVD decoding software will work. I don't know if it's true, but I don't want to waste any more money. I've resolved myself to actually following the instructions (pretty sorry, huh?). Besides, the OEM decoder that came with it was really sweet--much better than the Power DVD on my other system.

It's only about 54MBs. I can send it to you through ICQ, AIM, or FTP (if you have one)...I'll PM ya

Somewhere on ATI's website there are instructions on how to request a new driver disk. A few months back I followed the instructions and they sent me a new driver disk for free.

Comp10, I tried that and you can get updates, but the original software can't be had. I've looked everywhere, even in my son's software, but that disk is gone. My DVD drive is just a CD-Rom without that app.:frown:
