Perhaps you should obtain a clue before cracking open your piehole.

He's referring to a missplaced banner which runs vertically rather than horizontal and takes up all of an 800x600 screen.

Pay to not see that add? :Q

As mentioned, it's not the add, it's the way it's laid out. I'm sure everyone appreciates your
rude and ill informed comment.:disgust:

First of all the add is designed to be displayed vertically which you would notice if you would look at it. Secondly if you want to be a prick and complain about a site that you use for free then you need to do it in forum issues and not the video forum. So you a-holes go obtain a clue now and shut your pieholes.

LOL, what crawled up your butt? Don't worry, everyone here knows how special you are because you paid $2.50 this month.

First of all, the ad is mis-placed. The purpose of the original post was to have the ad replaced with a banner. I'm assuming the post was in this forum because not all of the forums have the same issue.

Secondly, user feedback is what makes Anandtech such a great community. Perhaps only those who pay their $30/year can comment on things now?

Perhaps you need to take a breather or something.

I'm not a subscriber and therefore I don't complain about what happens to the site.

Once again speaking before you know what you are talking about.

Fact remains that this thread belongs in Forum issues and I'm glad to give it free bumps to the top until it gets noticed and then locked (preferably) or moved.

I'm glad you don't complain about anything which happens to this site. Neither did anyone else in this thread. Speedtester asked (and even said the magic word) for the giant banner to be removed. This qualifies as a complaint on which planet? (Perhaps on Planet Grumpy, perhaps your from there?)

Speaking before I know what I'm talking about? That seems to be going on quite a bit in this thread!

Fact is that it's getting locked will at least alert a moderator to the issue and help expidite the resolution, so I'm all for it!

And shouldn't your complaint have been in the "forum issues" thread? :)

I don't have a complaint. I'm perfectly satisfied with everything done by this site.

If SpeedTester wanted to ask whether or not that banner was intentional or to ask for its removal because he felt that it was obnoxious and over top I would have had no problem with that. In fact I may have agreed with him (maybe not), if he would have asked in the appropriate forum. You know, the one designed specifacally for issues with the forum that is conviently called Forum Issues.

There are rules to this site that are put in place to keep order and make the site more enjoyable for its users. One of them is to not clog up forums with topics that are not on topic for that particular forum. For instance I wouldn't post a topic about my motherboard in the for sale/for trade forum or post a hot deal in the distribed computing forum. Like wise forum issues topics should be kept to the forum issues forum and not in the video forum disrespecting all the people who have questions or comments about video cards that they think are important enough that they need to be answered or discussed.

And no my complaints belong in this thread because it is with this thread that I have a complaint. I suppose I could go over to forum issues and post a topic about how this thread should be locked but I don't this this is that important. No, this thread was destined to be locked anyway and I thought it would be nice of me to explain to SpeedTester why his question was ignorant instead of just waiting for a mod to come by and lock it without any explanation.

I agree. Isn't it amazing how I can talk on and on about something so stupid? The more amazing thing is that there are people on this forum that needed to hear that (but they probably won't listen).

The guy's probably just permanantly angry because he's bald.
In real life I'm sure he's quiet as a mouse.
Your typical internet tough guy.
It's threads like this that make anandtech the laughingstock of the internet.

The question wasn't ignorant. The banner is (in all likelyhood) misplaced. Perhaps it is stating the obvious, but not ignorant.

And regardless of what you think, moderating these forums is a job of a (suprise!) moderator.

Not you.

So, the waste of all this bandwidth is because of you yapping off like you are someone for whom anyone gives a rats @ss about.

OMG What have I started. This was the only thread the damn ad was popping up in and I felt this was the correct place to
post it. I'm not complaining about the ad itself but it should go horizontal not vertically, its taking way to much of the screen up.

Pay to subscribe and they will. Thats the rules and you know it so shut your mouth. Lock this thread please.

Dude, chill the hell out. Stop being a rentamod.

I find the verticle adds annoying.

If I didn't have a scroll mouse. I'd stop posting and stop reading the forum.

Beside, Baldy18 ... you're not the mod, and it's the mod's job to move it if it's in the wrong place. A mod is not just there for you to kiss is a$$. There's a reason why we have mods. So shut your STP FCKing mouth.
