Radeon and Quake 3 sky....

Interesting Observation: The sky only looks bad (with TC on) when the texture quality slider in quake 3 is set to max. Ironic hey?

is what how the radeon looks on dm7? That screenshot? Bare in mind it's a compressed jpg (and therefore NOT in 32bit color). Sky looks better on dm7 than dm1, less noticable glitches. Strange though...if I put the texture slider one notch down, the sky looks perfect (But the rest don't look so good! ;)). heh, can't win ;)

The sky looks fine.The gamma, on the other hand, is lacking very badly... Have you tried to adjust it?

No, not really. He just got the card and is still getting it setup. Gamma/brightness look off for one.

Hey Snowy, whatever you do DON'T add other settings!!!!!! The only possible other one depending on your setup would be ExportWBuffer=0. Let us know how it's going for you!

Taz, when should you use or not use that setting? BTW, I went back to 7041 from 7062. I like the 7041 better.

There are some issues with Sacrifice and Giants that might require it. It really doesn't hurt to add it.

I remember telling a certain (since reformed) anti-3dfx zealot how good Q3 can look on a V3 with the proper setup. I even posted a LINK on how to do it. Its still worth a look.

Quake 3 looks just fine for me on my Voodoo 3. :)
Anyway, I don't run the WickedGL drivers.

Everyone:

Remember that the screenshots are always slightly different to the actual game. For example, when I take screenshots of my Voodoo3 in Quake 3, they always look better than they do in the game. For some reason the colours get richer and the banding is greatly reduced.
