I have to decide between Radeon AIW NTSC and PAL versions. I spend every year some 3-4 months in EU and would like to watch TV there. I was wondering if I got one of those expensive VCR's that are 'fluent' in NTSC&PAL in respect to recording/playback of tapes and have a videoconverter built in, if I could use such machine to watch PAL TV in EU with NTSC Radeon AIW in my comp (with all the functions that this card has like TV on demand etc).
I suppose my question comes down to asking if there is a gismo that converts TV signal from PAL to NTSC.
And a related question concerns Video in/out. Does this have anything to do with NTSC/PAL? Or can I take any (US or European) digital videocamera and feed the output into the 'video in' on the card?
As to the future, will HDTV finally do away with these crazy norms?
This is perhaps somewhat off topic but I cannot get this kind of info info from ATI's website or stores.
