Radeon AIW 7500 Remote Causes System to Crash

I have installed my Radeon AIW 7500, the drivers provided with the cd and the multimedia center. The problem I have is when I attach the RF receiver and run the "remote" application, the system immediately resets itself.

I can leave the RF receiver attached as long as I don't run the "remote" program, but then the remote does not work.

Please help

My system is a P450 running on a fresh clean install of Win XP. 256 mb ram, AIW 7500

The RF receiver is the only USB device I have connected

My remote works fine as long as I start it by hand. My computer would not shut down if two users both ran the remote control software. I would say that the remote control drivers are not the best out there.

Thanks for the follow up. I was really wondering if anyone else had problems with this remote and Win XP.

I am going to try getting through to ATI support next week.

My remote works fine with no issues. Have you tried another USB device to see if thats your problem?
