A friend of mine has got a new PowerColor 9800SE "C3" graphics card just like mine, when he turns on his PC, everything runs fine during startup, but in Windows, sometime the text becomes unreadable (unkown language!) and when he runs a 3D game, the game runs fine for 2 minutes then it freezes for like 5 seconds then the screens goes black but the game continues, I mean I can hear the sounds of the game.
That happened under Omega softmod drivers (9800SE --> Pro) and under ATI official drivers (normal 9800SE with only 4 piplines enabled, not 8), he has a 300W PSU, so it's not his PSU.
I took his card and put it in my rig, the same problem occured!!
Help please!
p.s: There's an important thing I wanna ask, does softmodding avoid warranty?? He didn't overclock at all, just softmodding (omega drivers).
