Radeon 9800: The 128bit ones are the sh!t ones right?

Pretty much exactly what the title says.

I was looking to upgrade my card, (FX5700u). I was lookin at a lot of Radeon 9800's, and most if not all the ones manufactur'd by Saphire seem to have the 128but Mem Interface. I'm not talkin bout just the 'Atlantis' models either.

My question is this, as I'm confused about what cards are supposed to have what interface.

If you guys could help me out, itd be great.

I don't understand why people are still continuously looking for 9800's when 6600 GT's are better at a similar price. Talk about dumb.

I was actually just looking at teh GT's they're about $200, putting them close to the cost of a 9800.

Since they're a much better card I think i'll just end up getting one of those.

I had a 9800pro, and I had a 6600gt. The 6600gt scored much higher in 3dmark, but they both felt the same in game. I'm not saying the 6600gt isnt better, but I dont think its a much better card or huge step up from the 9800pro. But with the current pricing, there is no point in getting a 9800pro over a 6600gt.

(In the last two weeks ive had a 9800pro, 6600gt, 6800nu (with all 16 pipes unlocked), and now a x800pro. A little trade around program with my local computer geek friends)

I think the 9800 all-in-wonder card for $250 is a good deal. You get a good card with a tv tuner so when the gaming life is over, you still have a good tuner card.

when i was video card shopping, i kept thinking to myself... why can't a 9800xt just fall off a truck or something? such a small, insignificant object... surely no one would notice? 😛

This is something that needs to happen to me....honestly my 5600nu feels the same as (or worse) than my old 9000pro (which died)

Worse than this is my fiance bought the 5600nu for me and the only way I'm getting a new card within like...2 more years lol, is if its free! Anyone got a 9700/9800pro or maybe a 5900u just collecting dust?

😀 lol
