Radeon 9800 Pro or All-in-wonder Radeon 9800 Pro?

I have the option of getting either a Radeon 9800 Pro, or an AIW 9800 Pro. The cost difference being passed on to me is miniscule (<$40).

I know some of the video AIW features are cool... but are there any disadvantages to the AIW version?

Like, stability issues? Or poorer driver support? Overheating issues?

Any comments would be appreciated.

There is no disadvantages to the AIW series. They run at the same speed and use the catalyst drivers just the same as the desktop version does, it just has more features and a higher price tag.

I've read that the stock heatsink/fans on the Radeon 9800 series are a bit loud.

Are there quieter cooling solutions that work on both the 9800Pro and AIW9800Pro models?

**bump**

Interested in finding out the answer to this question as I purchased a 9800np AIW. After looking thru the forum most of the cooling solutions suggest the vga silencer. With that replacement you have to remove the current h/s thereby voiding your warranty. Are there any good coolers that don't require you to remove/replace the current heatsink or fan?

What are acceptable temp ranges to run vid card at?

My understanding of the 9800 nonpro card is that there is no temp sensor on the card itself so no truely reliable way to measure temp at card level without adding a thermal probe to the case? Correct or no??

Thanks for the continuing help folks,
