Well wsup guys, Im getting a new computer:
AMD 3200+ 939 Socket
1 gig of ram (dual channal)

and im wondering which graphic card will do best in Counter Strike Source. Its either a Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB or BFG 6600 GT OC 128 MB.

Thx in advance guys!

6600GT is faster than the 9800Pro. If you have a choice between the two, get the 6600GT.

6600GT, no question. The fact that it's BFG will only mean superior performance.

You don't necessarily have to get the PCI-e version though; my understanding is that (for all intents and purposes) there's no performance difference between AGP and PCI-e. Obviously that'll change in the future, but for right now you're fine with either version.

the BFG will leave you happy. I play CS 1280x1024 All High Quality, smooth even in big matches

There's a great deal on an XFX 6600gt if you want to go for the AGP version. (price raised $8 today to $158 after rebate, used to be $150)

Yes, I also love my 9800 Pro. But that does not change the FACT that the 6600GT is a superior card. It is faster AND cheaper, so getting the 9800Pro nowadays is pointless.

exactly, and if you choose a PCIe solution your mboard will be ready for next generations of videocards.
