Radeon 9700pro, No Video??

Hi.

There seems to be a problem.
The new Radeon 9700 Pro was installed on the KR7A and followed the instruction where you suppose to plug the power cable to the PSU. All done well and thought good to go. Well, turned the power on and no video on the display. No video. You get an orange light on the monitor light indicator instead of green. All the rest of system including mobo lights and fans and even hard drives are on. They seem to be all working only except the monitor. Anybody having this sort of problem with the R9700????

Btw, I tried that on my second machine and exact same thing. No video what-so-ever. I put my old GF3 ti200 back on, no problem. Video works perfectly without a hiccup. Helpppppp... plz?

and the PSU on the AXP/ KR7A setup is a 350watt Antec.


The second machine has an Abit BE6-2 mobo and a 300watt CompUSA PSU. No video on neither one of these. Help... anybody having problem like this?

maybe that could be!.. I was/been hoping it's the card that is defective... coz i really want this card.. sweet card. let's hope this is a defective.. me thought the chance of running into defective products are very low! am i having bad luck or somthin'.. arggg...

my first card was dead as you describe =no video
the next card worked fine

i could get to the welcome screen at first in xp then no video but the second day i got nothing.

try a different card
