Radeon 9700pro $75 at geeks

very cool price man!!! i already own a 9700 pro from fic and i got mine for $ 220 a couple of years back - has been worth it though 😀

Notice also Geeks is careful not to describe it as 9700 Pro, but rather 9700P. Plausible deniability, as "P" could mean "Poop".
 
Very disgusting they would add the "P" to the name in order to mislead people. Horrible business practice and they should be boycotted for it.
 
If by "hot" you mean the temperature the card runs at...

I got a 9700pro when it first came out, and I've had nothing but problems with it. Maybe you'll get lucky, but I'd steer clear of it and get a 9800 or an nVidia card instead.

I agree. The 9700 was notorious for its issues. ATI isn't very good at making graphics cards. That's probably why they are on the verge of bankruptcy.
 
Wasn't it just a yr ago ATI owned the world and we were all wondering if nvidia would ever make a comeback? Ain't the free market grand🙂
