Radeon 9700 pro, P4G8X, C & C Generals

Has anyone had any problem with Generals crashing? It says the crash is because of the video card. I'm using official drivers from ati web site, but windows hasn't given them the offical stamp of approval.

Yes, I have the same problem but with any agp 8x board i use. Gigabyte 8inxp or asus a7n8x......i have found some info about agp 8x problems with the 9700 pro....will post what i find.....also is your card any ati original? mine is a sapphire

Any one have any ideas? I crash as soon as I get to the first screen!!! Please help!:frown:

Mine's a 8RDA+..
but Generals runs sweetly on my ATI 9700pro using Catalyst 3.1s and DirectX 9.0. So it shouldn't be a problem with the video card.

Try disabling 8X AGP and Fastwrites in the BIOS.
