Radeon 9700 Pro and Intel D865GLC m/b... no post

I have been trying to figure out why I can't post with this combination. All I can find is this. Does anybody have any more info?

Just to cover all the bases, I have updated to the latest bios, tried different RAM in different configurations, tried two different power supplies (Antec Truepower 380 and Vantec Stealth 420), and have eliminated the possibility the 9700 is bad (it works beautifully in two other systems). A geforce 4200 works under all conditions and configurations on this m/b, but the Radeon won't even show a blip on the screen. I would try lowering the AGP to 4x in the bios, but this particular bios doesn't have that option. I should also mention that "no post" may be misleading. I can see the harddrive reading away as if XP is loading, I just can't see anything 'cept a black screen.

Is this a "known" issue, or am I doing something wrong?

Any ideas? Feedback? Links?

What monitor are you using. The card may be defaulting to an unsupported resolution?
You removed any Nvidia drivers right?
Try turning the monitor off and then back on.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Monitor is a 21" Sony CPD-G520P. This was a fresh install of XP with the new board, so there weren't any Nvidia drivers to begin with (there are now! 🙂). I have tried turning the monitor on and off many times, in addition to changing cables and video inputs (this monitor has two). It just doesn't seem like a driver issue as I'm not even getting a video bios info screen thingy when I first power up. Nothing. Plus, it works perfectly in two other systems. I remove card, put it in another system, turn on the power, and wham, everything's fine. Put it back in this one, and the monitor doesn't even get out of standby. I know the power supply is adequate as it is the same ps I used prior to replacing the motherboard. I've had this video card for quite a few months and have had zero problems 'til now. The only new thing is the Intel board, which just happens to work fine with the geforce 4200 card I have in now. I'm stumped...

Btw, sold MSMo'D (below) a long time ago. Gotta update a few things, I guess.
