one more question, has anyone ran a 6800 high performance version on a 3GHz HP computer with the factory default PSU, you think if I tried this the system will explode?

a 9600XT normal doesn't require a molex connector.

not sure about the HP though.....it should work provided the PSU can give you better than 15A on the 12V.

you might be better off going with a 7600GS or 7600GT, they use less power than the 6800 series.

a 7600GT is slightly faster than a 6800Ultra.
