I don't know, seems decent to me for an AIW card with decent 3d gaming performance.

Linky

EDIT: Considering the AIW 9000 Pro is still ~$110, I'd say this is a pretty good deal for those who "need" the extra features.

Pretty good deal, especially since the aiw 9800 is is around 270. It's unfortunate that they didn't include DVI with this card.

I'd upgrade... I wish I had waited an extra month to get this card... I want the remote!

Keltron, I had the same card now with a Gigabyte 9600 Pro... it's quite the upgrade~

I bought the AIW9600XT from NewEgg at $193. Things to think about for those thinking about upgrading from the AIW8500DV. There is no firewire interface and no DVI connector and it comes with an adapter cable for VGA out. The card supports 2 VGA monitors and a S-video so almost 3 monitors. It will support DVI with an adapter that does not come with the card (I haven't tried it yet). I've replaced my AIW8500DV with the AIW9600XT. I needed firewire so I had to install a PCi firewire card and I was disppointed that the VGA to DVI adapter was not included. What I got with the XT version was a 3DMark score of 3377 and with the 8500 the 3DMark was 772. I also got FM tuner and the ability to drive another monitor.

So at least with the XT version I'm happy. Happy enough to get the 9600XT ($128 reburb NewEgg) for my other system. The 9600XT has VGA and DVI connectors on it. Its not clocked has high as the AIW version but it yielded a 3DMark of 3184 on a system that had the 8500 (non AIW) which yielded a 3DMark 0f 962.

My son has the 9600 256MB version and he likes it. He gets a 3DMark around 2800. He has P4 based system (Shuttle P4@2.8 GHZ) and I'm using dual P3's (VP6 with 1GHZ P3).

The AIW9600XT does come with the wireless remote.

i picked up a AIW9600pro from CC a month or so ago for 150. Good, solid card. Came with coupons for HL2 (and the entire HL1 suite, including CS-- but you have to request it before HL2 is released). Also came with a coupon for Remote WOnder II. Version 1 is included in the box. Shipping is a bit steep (15), but supposedly version II is pretty good. A quick check on pricewatch and pricegrabber shows that the cheapest you can buy this card is somewhere close to 200, so it's a pretty good deal. Especially for those of us who arent hard core gamers.

Why spend more is because with newegg refub you are not guaranteed to get all the need extras like the breakout box, cables, remote, which unlike other vid cards, these items are almost essential to AIW.

The only bad thing on this card is ...NO DVI!!! That is the only reason I haven't bought it also. :(
