Radeon 9500PRO woes

Just got a Albatron KT400 motherboard and a 9500PRO. I am now having problems with 3D stability. I can get into windows just fine... I am not overclocking and I have tried to up the voltage to 1.8V. The crash came a bit later. Can't seem to change the AGP speed. Any assistance is appreciated.

Have you tried installing DX9 and the new Cat.3.0 drivers? What kind of 3D stability problems are you having? It's most likely a driver issue...

I had the same problem. I couldn't overclock the system or the video card, and running 3D applications, even at stock speed, would cause the computer to crash. In my case I sent the card back and got a new one. No problems after that.

One thing you could try is making sure your power supply is large enough. Those cards do suck more power than others.

I have installed DX9 and teh Cat3.0 drivers without avail. The problem is that in 3D applications, i.e. Deus Ex, I can enter the Menu only a few minutes before the card crashes. I am pretty sure I have enough juice in my PSU. It is a server grade with good specs on everything. Anymore ideas?

You know, I almost never hear about stability problems with video cards on Intel based platforms.
I'm not being biased here. It's just something I seem to notice. If I'm wrong, then oops.
