Radeon 9500pro -> 9700 worth it?

I've got the ATI Radeon 9500Pro and mostly play UT2k4 and will be purchasing BF:V in the next week. My question is does it make a noticeable difference to soft mod this card? I know it will perform better in benchmarks, but to the eye, does it really make a big difference? If so, where will I notice these differences?

You can't soft mod a 9500 pro so there is your answer. The only real thing you might notice is highier low FPS if that makes sense.

9500's with L shped memory could potentially be modded into 9700's but this was only about 40% succsessful. NO 9500 Pro's can be modded as they have the inline 128 bit memory.

So unless you can sell your 9500 pro for a good price and find a cheap 9700 pro would it be a good deal even so there is not THAT much difference. Perhaps a jump to a 9800 Pro MIGHT be worth it if you play alot but anything lower than that isn't worth it IMO.
