Hi,

I'm extremely frustrated with these hardware sites! I am TRYING to find a card comparison with Radeon 9500 non pro , but NOBODY seems to care to bench the card. BOTH Tom and Anand, while they talk about the 9500 in the article, completely leave it out of the graphs! I've searched google, but I just find a bunch of the same -- just pro benchmarks.

I really want to see Radeon 9500 NP vs GF4TI4600

Any help?

Augie

..you mean the 128MB or 64MB version?

I've seen some for the 64Mb version... but almost none for the 128MB that is faster. Basicaly the cards are slower than a 4600 in regular settings, but about the same with AA and AF.

Check Digit-life.com, they have some reviews of the cards.

Hi,

Yeah, I'd be looking for the 128MB card. I'll check the link out.

Thanks

Here's a guy from the Dell forums that benchmarked a NP 9500, stock and overclocked, before and after the "mod", with a Ti4200.

Link

Here's his system specs that were used for the tests:

Maybe this will help you a little.

wow, i was going to get a Radeon 9500 to replace my 64MB Ti 4200....guess i'll think again, the Ti 4200 beat it in almost all the scores (and wasnt far off in the others). the only advantage would be more RAM and DX 9. I'll just hold off for a 9700 somday.

the non pro 9500 would probably be a speed downgrade from a geforce4. the 9500 Pro, however, might be worth getting.

the 9500 pro is well worth it unless your gunna do the soft mod on the 9500 regular

As someone mentioned, check out digit-life. They might not have a review of the the 9500np directly, but their reviews for cards in the similar performance range should have 9500np scores. I remember coming across 9500np scores in a few benchmarks when checking out Ti4200 performance.
