Radeon 9100, anyone who knows what this is?

I stumbled over a Radeon9100 on an online shop yesterday. (Sapphire radeon9100, 64MB)
I haven't heard of a 9100 model before so I got curious.
Some sources on the Net claims the 9100 just to be a new name for the old 8500, can anyone confirm this?
If it is the old 8500 GPU, is it clocked with the same frequency as the original 8500? Does it use the same memory path? Is it crippled in some way?

The card I found is suspiciously cheap, priced just a little less than a Radeon9000pro from the same manufacturer (Sapphire). I find this a little to cheap to be true, considering the prices of 8500-boards is way higher.

IF the 9100 is an uncrippled and untouched 8500, I will buy a piece ASAP

Its just a repackaged 8500. I'm not sure what the clock frequencies are, but the actual chip itself is the same R200 as the 8500 series. They *might* have added some other features like AGP8X(not sure of this) but basically the chip is the same and so will the performance be.

Is it the same as a Radeon 8500, or Radeon 8500 LE? Also, bear in mind that not all Radeon 8500 (non-LE's_ are clocked the same either. You might just have to find some specs for the card to check the clock frequencies, some cards may be different to others.

I saw a post at a Chineses website, they said that it's clocked at 250/250. So, it more like a Radeon 8500 le rebadge. Not too bad for it's price, but I just wished ATI would *soup up* the 8500 for 9100 instead of doing the name trick like nVidia. (GF4 *MX* anyone?)

The 9100 makes a lot more sense than the GF4MX. Its smack right between a 9000 and a 9500 performance wise.
