I'm having a problem with a new Sapphire Radeon 9000. Here are the details:
- new machine, ASUS A7N8X, Athlon 2500, 1GB
- Windows XP SP1, latest DX9 installed
- standard nForce drivers installed
- nothing else installed
- When I install the Catalyst drivers, every time I move the mouse,
the screen shimmers and shears like crazy. This stops when the
mouse stops moving. There is no difference whether the mouse is
on the PS2 port or a USB port
- I then have to use system restore to get back the generic VGA driver
- I've tried the ATI catalyst 3.8's, as well as the ATI driver that
Microsoft offers through Windows Update. Same problem.
Anybody seen this before? Do you think I have a bad card?
Thanks a bunch!
Joe
