Radeon 9000 PRO or GF4ti4200 ???

last minute doubt here... the 9000 is $50 cheaper than geforce... what aboot performance ???

Ti 4200 if u have the cash, if not, then the 9000 Pro or 8500LE is the best card for the price

my original budget included the ti4200 but for a second i thought the radeon 9000 pro would be better than it, after reading the review and benches i see its worse than the 8500 so its definitely 4200 for me!

For performance, go for the ti4200.

ATI's pulling the same **** as nVidia now. 9000<8500. Like GF4MX<GF3. Heck, closer to a GF2.

9000 is a nice BUDGET CARD. 8500 is a nicer performance card. ti4200 is a better performer than either. Though I'd go for an ATI 8500 over a ti4200 myself.

lol i might even consider an 8500 for the time being cuz ist a temporary card until i can afford something a lot better (9700?) but the price difference between 8500 and ti4200 is so small its a crime not to get the geforce...

If you want a good gaming card and nothing but, then get the Ti4200. You can even get one for around $130 so it's not so much difference (only about $35) between the 8500. I would think that it would serve you well up til Doom 3 and probably even for most games of that time as well.

Get a TI4200 and overclock it to >TI4400 speeds...Reaches there easily.
