Radeon 8500, Windows XP, and multiple displays

I have a strange issue with my new toy. In the Radeon advanced display options, where the four possible displays are laid out (monitor, monitor, LCD, and TV), there used to be four little control buttons for each, the concentric circles (basically 'copy' the main display), the two windows (copy the main display onto a smaller one with scrolling), and the two different arrows that extended the Windows desktop onto the other displays. I explicitly remember those arrows being there when I first got the card, and I extended my desktop onto my 27" TV and said "cool!" aloud. Now those two buttons are gone, and I can't get this thing to extend my desktop onto anything no matter what I try. WTH is going here? Anyone else had this?

everyone has the same problem, it's driver problem with ddc, dont expect to fix it any time soon.. goto rage3d.com for more info
