if one were to get the card, some more stuff adding up to like $250, then use the $50 coupon to drop back to $200, and then pricematch it with amex to get some $50 back, making it $150 for both items? possible?
Anyone
I need a vid card for a new system build and am not sure what to get. Radeon 8500, GF3 ti200 (deal for about $90-100 also at gway), or the GF4 4400 (deal for around $250).
The cost really isn't that much of an issue, want something that I can keep for awhile.......I think. Is it better to get a card an keep it for awhile or keep trading up by always buying the mid spectrum technology after the newest thing comes out?
Thanks for your thoughts!!

Wolfram, I think you've got the right idea. It really makes little sense to keep getting the "latest and greatest" video card when you have to spend such a premium for technology that won't be useful until apps are optimized for the latest features a newly released card has to offer. IMO, you can't go wrong getting either a GF3 ti200 or a Radeon 8500 for the best price/performance/longevity ratio right now.
You can't get any of these deals if you don't use a credit card right?
Ie. You can't call in and place an order and then send a money order, or am I wrong?
can't resist. jumped on. Ordered card and AOE II, altogether 149.90. with the $20 rebate bring it down to 130. the nice thing of it, is both the coupon and the free shipping is 199.00
thanks to the link
