Radeon 8500 - Best Drivers Win2K

What are the best drivers on WIn2K for my Radeon 8500? I hear the latest from ATI suck, but I also hear that there are some "beta" versions that have loads of problems. Thanks for any help!

I've got the latest drivers, but haven't had much of a chance to play with them. (note that this is on a Radeon VE, but they're the same drivers as for your Radeon 8500, so it shouldn't matter except that your performance with the drivers will be much more than mine. 🙂

Has anyone noticed a SIGNIFICANT change (good or bad) with newer drivers? For the most part, performance has been great. Always striving for better! 🙂

Sorry for the OT question, but has the Video Out gotten fixed on the 8500 yet? I bought one a couple months ago and the video out was just horrid. Last I heard, ATI needed a BIOS update to fix the problem I think. I sold my 8500 and decided to keep my Radeon 64MB DDR just because of that reason.

I doubt ATI is updating the driver for the VE much. Probably just left that alone. Most of the driver updates would be for the 8500 series now.

Yeah, maybe there are problems with that. I wouldn't know, I can only afford one monitor, and my other TV is too big/far away to use! 🙂
