My Radeon 8500 128MB is scoring pretty low in 3DMARK. Getting low 9000s most of the time. Is there anything I can do to speed this up or is it just a pretty shitty card....?

1. if your talking about 3dmark 2001 then 9k isnt to bad.
2. need to know rest of your system specs to compare with others.

I have a Pentium 4 1.6A running at 2.1Ghz on a P4B266-C motherboard and 1GB of memory and a Geforce 4 ti 4600 and i get 10600

Geforce 4 ti 4600 is a superior card to. So getting 9k with a radeon 8500 doesnt sound bad to me.

Does all your games play smooth? if so dont worry about it. Main thing is if your games run smooth or not. More FPS is better but overclocking wont give u that much more.

9k is a good score. nothing wrong there.

imo you should be getting more than 9000.i've set up acouple comparible systems and they ran around 9500.oc'ing your card will definetly help but i believe the trick to the 3dmark benchmarks is a screaming memory system.the biggest difference i see is when i tweak the system memory to the max.i can personaly pull around 9200 with the system below and it sounds like yours should run better than mine.butttt as long as your games run good who cares.
