The Radeon VE is the dual head version of the Radeon. The Radeon 7500 is still the same graphics core, but its gone through a die shrinkage so the core and memory speeds are far faster. Unless you really need dual displays the 7500 is without question the card to get over the VE. Compared to the Geforce 2 I think the 7500 competes pretty well with GeForce2 Ti, with the Radeon having more features and better image quality.

The Radeon 7500 is capable of Hydravision (dual dispaly) as long as you buy a version that has it. The 7500 is the card to buy if you can't afford the 8500. I got an extra 45fps Q3 timedemo 1 1024x768 32bit highest quality/HQ sound on from what I got with my Radeon 32mb DDR. It is a very nice 2d/3d looking fast card.

Go with the 7500.

Mine is solid at 315core/280mem, never pushed the core higher, but the ram peaked at 280. I run it at 300/275 just to keep things safe.

Ummm...it's seems faster than the old Radeon 32MB DDR then...but maybe the ratio cost/performance of a Radeon LE is still good...

I think not, the Radeon LE is a castrated Radeon and the 7500 is a Radeon with a die shrink and faster core/mem if I am not mistaken.

Nope your not,

The Radeon LE isn't even made by ATi it was made by an Asian company for that market exclusively. However they didn?t sell as fast as they had expected so ATi allowed them to sell the cards here in the U.S. market with one stipulation. It was clocked slower and hyper-z was disabled. At the time these cards were a pretty good deal since you could easily enable hyper-z through the registry and they seemed to overclock pretty well. There isn?t any reason to go with a Radeon LE now though, and also the Radeon LE has no relation to the 8500 LE at least as far as I know.

Yeah...but after I was talking about cost/performance ratio...
