Radeon 7200 32MB PCI slowness.....arrghhhh!

Hey guys.

I have a Radeon 7200 PCI 32MB DDR powering a second monitor (17" Viewsonic) on my system. A GF3 powers my main monitor (20" Dell).

I have upgraded to the latest drivers available from rage3d, however I still get slow refreshes on the Radeon.

For instance, if I have a webpage on the Radeon monitor, and I attempt to scroll through my favorites, each sub-catagory is very slow to open (or display).

Even scrolling through Explorer folders is slow for each subfolder to react to the mouse hovering over it!

Arrrrghhhhhhhh!!!!!!

WTH is happening

I would understand if games were jerky, or anything 3d related, but webpage favorites....c'mon!

Any help would be appreciated!

TY in advance,

Edblor

P.S. I am using Pstrip to monitor things, but even turning Pstrip off did nothing!

this is purely a guess, but are you doing anything possibly intensive that uses a lot of the pci bus?, b/c then the video card would have to stop that device w/ the irq, so it can request and show the picture... just a thought, but i'm not that smart...

I do not believe so!

I get this "slowness" regardless of what I am doing. It could be right after boot-up, surfing the 'Net, listening to music..whatever!

I plan on moving the card to another PCI slot, but then I have to re-install the drivers, and move the sound card. I'd be swapping out the sound card and the Radeon.

Thanks for the input guys!
