Okay, I'm running

Abit KT7A-RAID + Thunderbird 750
256mb Crucial CAS2 RAM
Radeon 32mb DDR (Retail)

I get horrible, and I mean *horrible*, colorization artifacts throughout some of my desktop and both 3d renderers (OpenGL / D3D). I have tried all the ATi drivers, using Radeon Tweaker, and all the VIA 4in1's. All AGP boosting BIOS settings are disabled, has not been overclocked.

Edit: 32 bit color makes it a lot worse

Here is an example pic (700k):

(Edit: you must copy-paste the link)

That's Serious Sam loading. In game (pic tomorrow), the little colors are *on* textures as if they were part of the textures. It's really horrible looking in this game and Hitman or any other game, and I have run out of ideas. Please help!

That's alot more than a driver problem, I'd say that's hardware problems. Maybe a faulty DAC or filter or something.

I have the 64 mb ddr vivo version and i havn't seen anything like that. did you just recently buy that card? It may just be a faulty card. I don't know what to tell you except maybe....have you been to rage3d http://rage3d.com/ ? They specialise in ati cards, maybe someone can help you there.

I have a nearly identical setup to yours (differences in mine are Abit KA-7, classic Athlon 750, 384 MB memory-Muskin 1.5 & Crucial) running under Win98SE, DirectX 8a. Mine works fine and visuals are great. I always run in 32 bit color.

You didn't mention what operating system and version of DirectX you're using.

I'm guessing defective hardware too, but its just a guess. You may want to try clean install, latest drivers first. Good luck.

Using Windows ME and DirectX 7 and 8/a produce the same results.

Hmm, it was sitting around for awhile (after I won it, and didn't have an AGP slot), maybe it is defective.

What's the chances of ATI replacing/repairing it quickly? I still have the warranty card. It was purchased for the contest from Electronics Botique, and I'm guessing they probably won't exchange it?
