good deal?
I know Radeon is not up to par with GF2 GTS, but for that price, no one can beat it.
However, how's its driver though? What worries me is its driver, ATI has been known as a BAD driver producing company.
need advice.
acceptable? or you mean they are terrible?
I really wanna make sure they are "workable" LOL..
don't wanna spend money on the card if the driver is POS!!
ATI has done a much better job of driver support for their Radeon boards. I own 64mb Vivo and either beta or ref. drivers have all shown steady improvement. I have not tried the DX8 "optimized" drivers, but I have read they work very well also. If image quality as well as speed(framerate)is important to you the Radeon offers IMHO the best combination! This from one who has owned a GeForce DDR and Voodoo 3. Good Luck!
P.S. Check out Radeon sites, in particular rage3d.com and radeonic. com
What do you MEAN about ati drivers?? I haven't had my card that long and it is the freakiest card I've had. The only drivers I can get of the ATI website are September and the January betas. Do you call that fast, The Rock?

The drivers are great. You have to know where to get the leaks. There have been 12 releases in the last 6 months. Very stable and very fast.
The latest official Nvidia drivers were released on 9/20/00. These are the only drivers I can get on the Nvidia website. There have been countless "leaked" versions since. Double standard here??
I love my 32mb radeon. And it is not that much slower than a gts, gets the same if not better performance in some games. For 95 bucks you'd be getting a hell of a card.
