Here in Dallas, the prices of the Radeons dropped at both Fry's Electronics locations from $199 to $179, then there's a $50 rebate that they give you when you check out. Not sure if this is the same for all Fry's locations, though.

The Radeon DDR card for $129 after rebate? Wow. At that price these cards should be flying out the door.

The price is $199 at my local Fry's store making it $199 + $14 tax - $50 = $164. I suppose if someone wanted to do the legwork they could buy one from Outpost for $169 shipped/no tax, buy one from Fry's and use a copy of the Fry's reciept and the UPC from the Outpost box to get the $50 rebate, bringing the final cost down to $119. And then just return the sealed Radeon box to Fry's for a refund.

For some reason in the Radeon description at Outpost it says the rebate is not valid but on the same page there is a $50 rebate coupon that is personalized specifically for a Radeon purchased at Outpost. Who knows, maybe if you send in the Outpost rebate you'll get it.

I've been having a lot of video card problems over the last few weeks, so I've been going to both of the Fry's here very occasionally.. The last time I went (yesterday, Saturday) I noticed that the price dropped from $199 to $179 and the rebate was still good.

Any one in California verfy this?? Because Best Buy got a 30 days pricematch plus 10% difference. Interesting news for some of us who bought from Best Buy.

namlook, I would not advise posting materials that suggest that we deceive a company for our own benefits. I posted something of that nature and it was modified by the mods and I was e-mailed a warning.

I tried pricematching Fry's at several B&M locations (Bestbuy, CompUSA, and Circuit city) and none would do it. They gave me some spiel about selling too low for their margins or such. Blah... excuses. But of course, these same places with pricematch unbeliveably low priced stuff like the $129 Best Buy HD (and in the case of CompUSA with a $90 rebate).
