Hi, I'm kinda new at this, but my gf and i were goin' back to her home to Iowa from Colorado, she got pulled over for the first time on
I-80, we were extremely nervous, the cop told us that we were goin' 97 on a 75, which was really hard to believe, when we asked to see the radar, he wouldn't show it to us. I thought cops were required to show the radar upon request? what a thanksgiving present he gave us... $113 ticket!!! :|
Are there any good radar detectors out there for a good price? and what's considered a good radar detector?

Thanks very much:)

If you don't speed you don't need one.

<---------Never had a speeding ticket and doesn't need a radar detector.

And um, just never go back to that state again and you and your ticket should be "safe"

Yeah, and they will issue a warrant for failure to pay the ticket, and next time you have the unfortunate situation to cross the piggy in uniform in that state again, you might get thrown to jail due to the outstanding warrant. I doubt $113 worth that risk.

Use the Concealed Display Unit and at night they will never know you have one - but don't get too near one of the cop cars - they may have detector detectors.

That why all new radar detectors have VG-2 protection to detect radar detector detectors.

I have a valentine1 and Love it, good for highway, but I get annoyed and usually turn it off around the city.

I'm worried they will come out with radar detector detector detectors :D

what is was trying to say is a radar detector detector detector would be nothign to fear, it would detect a policeman trying to detect your detector, he got mixed up in his sentence

Tracer Buster Buster Buster busts the trace of the motherfvcker who is trying to bust your trace by using a trace buster to bust your trace while trying to tace.

Are you that new? ;) Where do people get this idea? It's a common misconception, but the truth is that your request might very well be technically impossible to grant. Your speed probably disappeared from his readout long before he ever caught up with you.

Anyway, she'd better pay it. AFAIK, many states these days have reciprocal agreements with other states, so if you don't pay the fine in one state, the consequences do extend across the borders.

Why not drive according to the speed-limits? Then you don't have to worry about them radars.
