radar detectors...illegal where?

What states have made radar detectors illegal. I know virginia is one, and I recently heard maryland too. Does anyone know of a list that has them all?
thanks,

[All of Canada, too, while we're compiling a list.] -- I'm wrong. 😱

Even if they're not illegal, if a cop sees one in your car while you're stopped for speeding, you will get a speeding ticket, guaranteed. I shouldn't need to explain why, but for you "slower" folks, it's because by having one, you remove all doubt that you were not only speeding intentionally, but that you also do it often.

Pretty sue Texas is one. They're a bunch of pr!cks in those parts. Not the people, the cops.

nope, I have passed plenty of cops with my detector, of course, not giving them any reason to pull me over when I pass them with the detector in full view. I have never been pulled over, but I have not heard to many horror stories. I live in austin, and the cops rare supposedly real stingy in lakeway and westlake. The cops from those areas always drive with their radars on and pull people over for 2-3 over the limit.

virginia and DC are the only two states where detectors are illigal

jammers are a different story

Damn I better take mine outta my car when I visit DC at the end of the month. My hotel is actually in VA too!
