..ya. then we can digress back to classism as in China.

Digress? I think you need to check out some American history, and current affairs. Classism is here and always has been. In fact I think it's pretty generally understood that racism is by and large a product of classism, where an aristocracy seeks to divide the working classes by any means possible in order to maintain status quo. Thus encouraging racism becomes a handy tool for doing just that.

Pure races are genetically more diverse than mixed races. African bloodlines are the purest, and hold the greatest genetic diversity.

Bigotry != racism.

Do you have proof? It seems counter intuitive. I just want to see your source.

Plenty of sources for the info, here are two.

The genetic diversity of populations was found to be greatest in Africa and least in the Americas.

Genetic diversity is generally greatest in Africa, where the roots of many locus-specific phylogenies lie

Where does it say that pure races are more genetically diverse? You're missing the point, which is that "African" isn't a race. The correct reading is that Africa is a place with MANY races

Human genome project. You're missing the point of how natural selection works and it's effect when mixing races.

Since when is "white" a race? I mean black generally means a person with predominantly African genes, but what about white?

Edit: I should have said ancestry in place of genes.

People have the right to say what they want. But, I think racism is so stupid. People are people.

But again, I would die for their right to say what is on their mind, as long as it does not lead to violence.

IIRC from the human genome project, we all have predominantly northern African genes, as that region was the 'fertile crescent' where the origins of the species can be found. Then through various genetic mutations over time we can track which parts of the world someone's ancestors migrated to, but they're still all from the same place. Black people just have darker skin.

Then you have to get into the diversity among white people. There are glowing white people, olive colored white people, etc.

For example, I'm 100% white but I'm darker (yellower) than a lot of Asian people.

Pick a country in europe or western asia. There are so many "white" cultures/combinations it's hard to keep track.

Second, the African populations are more diverse, a pattern consistent with many studies that have compared in various human populations. Third, the largest genetic distance is seen between African and non-African populations. Finally, because this network is based on Alu insertion polymorphisms, it is possible to designate unambiguously the allelic state of the ancestral human population as one in which none of the insertions would be present. This allows us to 'root' the tree and shows that the root falls closest to African populations. All of these findings, which are in accord with many other studies based on different types of genetic variation assessed in different samples of humans support an evolutionary scenario in which anatomically modern humans evolved first in Africa, accumulating genetic diversity. A small subset of the African population then left the continent, probably experienced a population bottleneck and founded anatomically modern human populations in the rest of the world.

That is one of the reasons there is greater genetic diversity within African populations, the rest of us actually came from just a small subset. Natural selection also played a significant role when races mixed. The greatest potential (genetic diversity) of humanity lies within the population of Africa.

The 'fertile crescent' is more Middle-East than Africa (Euphrates, Tigris, and Nile rivers) and is associated with the origin of civilization, not the origin of man.

you must have missed the sarcasm when they say filipino power.

Here's a question I was thinking to myself while watching American History X earlier this evening.

So the theory is that most of the worlds races came from a small genetic pool out of africa.
Interesting! I always thought that mixing genes from around the globe would produce more diversity. I guess it also spreads genetic weaknesses also.

Like some dog breeds when mixed can carry both parent breeds common issues.

Natural selection works against genetic diversity. Every time races mix it gives nature the chance to drop off "less desirable" genes. Even if the rest of humanity came from the collective gene pool of Africa instead of just a smaller region, due to the mixing and natural selection the diversity would still be lower than inside Africa.

It has been said that you would find more genetic diversity within a tiny, isolated African village than in all of NYC. I can't find anything factual to back that claim up, but it is likely accurate.

Black power != black pride. I have nothing against people being proud of their race. I'm proud of my race (I'm white, specifically I'm a mix of Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and German). Race does not determine anything, so there's no point in supporting your race's dominance.

In places where racism is nearly nonexistent, there's classism. People will always have some reason to hate others for being different. Racism, classism, sexism, etc. will never die.

In that case, it is more likely one of those melo- dramatic things people with an agenda say.
It defies the listener to challenge it for fear of being perceived as backward, ignorant, or worse, 'racist' despite lack of context or any corroboration.

It panders to the memory of Carl Sagan and his "Billions and billions of grains of sand" remark.
It smacks of salesmanship.
