Racing Helmet Advice

Based on the sizing chart at SoloRacer, each helmet size only spans 1/8" (XL = 7.625 - 7.750). So that means L to XL would literally be the difference of just right to maybe a tiny bit loose, right?

It's possible, but I think like a pair of jeans, there is some differences between manufacturers and models. Personally, I'd rather have one a bit snug as opposed to a bit loose. Either way, its a good idea to try a few on and see what sizes are comfortable then go from there.

According to the website, SA95+ is required:

Dunno about SCCA, but the road-course leagues we have up here are good with "M" helmets as long as you don't have a cage.
