I was with a friend at lunch when a black woman walked by, he made the comment "wow...she's hot", I made the comment "you know...I don't find black woman attractive".

He turned to me and said "hey man...that's pretty racist".

At no time were any nasty words used...it was all G-rated.

Do you think my comment was racist?
 
It was a pretty blanket statement. I don't find most black women attractive, but a lot of individual black women are ultra hot.
 
People can't tell the difference between using a race descriptor, stereotyping, and racism these days. Everything is just racism.
 
hell no it wasn't racist. A beautiful black women is amazing. just like a beautiful white, Asian whatever.

Why would it be offensive? It's just two dudes talking about chicks. That may be offensive to the woman if she heard, but otherwise it;s routine discussion. It's no different than saying you don't like big asses, small breasts, or red hair.
 
It's not racist but people, in their lame ass attempts to be PC, have misused that and other words.

Years ago here, I called Spike Lee racist. Some fool here told me that black people couldn't be racist.

Don't you know, it's only white people that are racist. That is until you venture outside of North America. A lot of people are closed minded and have no idea what goes on in the rest of the world. Asian in particular. Try dating an Asian woman if you're white and see what other Asians think. Better yet try dating an Asian woman if you're black. D:
 
Stating that you do not find black women attractive isn't racist. I'm sure you would find an exception if you looked hard enough though.
I generally do not find many black women attractive, yet some I do.

Calling someone racist for saying they do not find black women attractive is kinda racist, overly judgmental and douchey. Who are they to pass judgment on your libido? Most likely they are making this judgment entirely based on YOUR race.

If you said that you thought they were all 'nappy headed hoes' though, that would definitely be racist.

Of course it's racist. The category of people you were commenting on was defined only by racial membership. If you had said "dark women" or "women with olive skin" then that would be another story.

The good news is that I checked with black women, and they say it's cool if you don't want to sleep with them. So your racism is forgiven.
