No, the right made it racist by continually arguing that Martin must have been a trespassing criminal thug even though he was a resident in the complex and had no criminal record.

edit: IOW, the wannabe cop never had any probable cause.

Because if some strange guy was chasing you through your own neighborhood on a dark night, you'd just stop and offer him a smoke?

Nothing has happened to me. In the meantime, simple logic says that the RWN's are either racist, or they want to push this 'comply or die' authoritarian bullshit on everyone. I haven't figured that out yet, but either way, I'm against it.

He wasn't a resident there and it wasn't his "own neighborhood".

Also, because of his age it cannot be said that he had no criminal record. And we do know that he had some 'contact' with L.E.

He was staying long term with his father, who was a resident.

My point remains that Zimmerman had no cause to stop Martin, and neither was Martin under any obligation to obey any command that Zimmerman may have given him. That some people continue to believe otherwise is either ignorant, racist, or authoritarian. You choose.

Literally how are we still debating the facts of the Zimmerman / Martin case? Literally what does it have to do with someone's "lived experience" as a black man? Is it not a requirement for everyone to take a basic psychology or sociology course in school? Do we not remember the Thomas theorem?

Someone told me the other day that global warming is an attack on capitalism because some some non-scientist left wing blogger posted something to that effect.
Another person told me that evolution is bunk because Darwin recanted and accepted Christ on his deathbed.
I've also heard that the ideals behind MLK's 'I have a dream' speech have no meaning because (so they said) MLK was a womanizer.
I'm sure you agree with all that.

Personally, I'm never going to eat at Subway again because of Jared.

Some group is offering a big sum of money if he can prove he's black. Don't ask me exactly what the parameters are of proving that one is black, but probably a DNA test to show that the guy listed on his birth certificate is not is father would be fairly easy to do.

Sounds like a good opportunity for this guy -- vindicate himself and make a good chunk of change doing it. Or, if the test shows the guy to be his father, be exposed as Dolezal 2.0.

I'm not entirely convinced the guy is actually white. His father might be listed on his birth certificate, but that doesn't mean he's actually his biological father.

We'll see how this unfolds, but it sure seems like another race faker / liar like Derezal or whatever her name was.
